Give it a touch of Jack!
Jack Wax is a simple and effective trio of wood conditioners, designed for cutting and charcuterie boards, but well suited to treat other wooden food surfaces in your kitchen, from bowls to utensils. We formulated Jack Wax with carefully-sourced ingredients, fine-tuned to our favorite blends of beeswax and complementary oils and waxes for different states of wood and rubbing outcomes.
The easiest way is simple: give it a quick rub on a regular basis. After rinsing and scrubbing your board a dozen or so times, or after about a month, the typical oil finish on a cutting board will begin to dry out, leaving a dull and dry-to-the-touch surface in part or whole.
Jack’s answer for the regular waxer is Jack Wax Rapid Rub, the softer of our two wax blends. Rapid Rub is a solid compound with just the right firmness to leave a waxy sheen, but with a higher oil content to replenish your board.
You’ve got a board, but perhaps you haven’t rubbed it in a while (or ever... we don’t judge). Or, like us, you’ve made a board yourself and it’s never been rubbed. What to do?
Jack Wax Timber Tonic is a liquid wood oil conditioner for just such situations. We developed Timber Tonic to bring our boards to life, with just the right blend of Coconut Oil and Food-Grade Mineral Oil for nice hydrating action. Then we blend in a touch of our favorite Beeswax that pre-conditions the wood for proper waxing.
Jack Wax Stiff Shine is our favorite hard wax for great finishers. Stiff Shine is our hard wax blend, with Beeswax, a touch of all-natural Carnauba Wax that elevates the finish and adds a distinct shine, further elevating the contrast and color of wood grains. All-Natural Coconut (MCT) Oil is used to soften to a firmly spreadable compound.
