Grainy Lane
Grainy Lane is a one-of-a-kind end-grain board built from primarily walnut, with two maple stripes that run the length of the surface and pull the eye straight across. The pairing is classic — dark walnut warmth set against bright maple — but the specific grain movement and character in this board belong to this board alone. At 15.5 × 16.5 × 2 inches, it's substantial enough for everyday chopping and refined enough to carry a full charcuterie setup.
End-grain construction is the standard for boards meant to last. The surface holds up to serious use, stays kinder to knife edges over time, and ages in a way that adds character rather than diminishing it. A single edition, built to become a fixture in your kitchen.

A block like this deserves a good rub.
Jack Wax is our food-safe beeswax blend. A regular rub (every few uses or every few weeks) keeps your board fresh, hydrated and protected. For heavy duty users, consider our Jack Pack.
The Wooded Difference
We don't just glue wood together — we study it. How the grain flows. Where the contrasts emerge. How nature's hidden patterns can come together into something that belongs in your kitchen for decades.
Every piece is arranged for visual harmony — we hand-pick the grain pattern for each board. End-grain construction is durable and easy on knives.
Every board's grain pattern is one of a kind. We hand-pick visually compelling hardwood lumber and carefully arrange the natural grain patterns to make a board inspired by nature's contrasts.
Fewer joints, superior stability, and less visual interruption. We build from thicker, handpicked, top-shelf hardwood, sourced in New England.
Our boards are crafted on Cape with heirloom quality for a more durable board.
Cared for, a Wooded board outlasts everything else in your kitchen.
