Sweet N' Groovy Maple
Slice, dice, and prep with confidence on a 2.5” thick sugar maple end-grain board that feels as solid as it looks. This is the kind of piece that doesn’t scoot, doesn’t flinch, and quietly upgrades everything you do on it—from weekday onions to weekend brisket.
The perimeter juice groove is there for the messy work: ripe tomatoes, rested steaks, citrus, you name it. It catches the runoff so your counter stays clean and your workflow stays smooth.
And because it’s end grain, the wood fibers give under your blade instead of fighting it—kinder to your knife edge, built for the long haul, and made to keep showing up meal after meal. Functional, beautiful, and just a little intimidating (in a good way).
What's Knotty about this board?
This board is made of Soft ("Sugar") Maple, a good selection for cutting boards that's slightly lighter / differently-colored than our typical Hard Maple boards featured in our Wooded Designs portfolio. It has a Juice Groove already equipped. This board is fully up to Wooded standards otherwise. Please note, this board has rubber feet pre-installed, so we cannot fulfill a "no feet" customization.

A block like this deserves a good rub.
Jack Wax is our food-safe beeswax blend. A regular rub (every few uses or every few weeks) keeps your board fresh and hydrated. For heavy duty users, consider our Jack Pack.

The Wooded Difference
We don’t just glue wood together — we study it. How the grain flows. Where the contrasts emerge. How nature’s hidden patterns can come together into something that belongs in your kitchen for decades.
Every piece arranged for visual harmony — we let nature’s patterns lead the design. End grain isn’t just beautiful; it’s self-healing and gentle on your knives.
Every board's grain pattern is one of a kind. We hand-pick visually compelling hardwood lumber and carefully arrange the natural grain patterns to make a board inspired by nature's contrasts.
Starting from 2-inch lumber means each piece shows more of its natural grain — not thin strips, but full cross-sections of wood with real depth and pattern.
Our boards are crafted on Cape with heirloom quality for a more durable board.
These aren’t disposable kitchen tools — they’re pieces you’ll pass down.
