Finding our way to wood.
At Wooded, we are inspired by the contrasts of nature and a love for the kitchen. So we've grown our shop to bring our unique creations from the Cape to you.
Wooded is a crossroads of passions; for the kitchen, wood, and the places where art and utility meet.
Our journey began in the kitchen as a young couple, newly arrived in New England, spending weekends cooking dishes that made us joyful and connected to the flavors of our home-places across the country. As we built up our new kitchen and honed our cooking craft, our penchant for nifty tools led us to a transformative upgrade — a properly sharp Chef's Knife.
From there, our disappointing plastic cutting board came into focus, and set off a years-long adventure, from two corporate jobs to our homegrown wood shop. Here, we seek to bring the joy of wood to the masses; the satisfaction of a great chop over a sturdy, handcrafted block of hardwood. The utility of a board built to sustain decades of use, and the art that nature locks deep into the grains of wood.

We hope you enjoy browsing our creations. For those of you that have entrusted us with your business, we thank you deeply for including us at your table. As Wooded continues to grow, we look forward to building something bigger on the Cape. We hope you'll join us.
Bryce and AaronCape Cod, Massachusetts
We're based on Cape Cod, a place with a deep history of craftsman and rugged artisans. Every board we sell is built in our shop, from rough lumber to final wax coat — start to finish, in house.
The Wooded difference
Art meets utility
Every board is designed to be used — hard. But it should also be beautiful enough to display on your counter or hang on a wall. We don't compromise either way.
End grain, always
All of our cutting boards are end grain. End grain is harder, gentler on knives, and self-healing. It's also dramatically more labor-intensive. We think it's worth it every time.
Built to stay flat
Old-fashioned butcher block thickness, careful grain selection, and a multi-day finishing process. Our boards are built to stay flat for generations.
