At Wooded, we are inspired by the contrasts of nature and a love for the kitchen. So we've grown our shop to bring our unique creations from the Cape to you.
Wooded is a journey of passions; for cooking, wood, and purveying art with utility and joy. As founders, our journey has followed, rooted in the nourishment of cooking food that brings us home; rustic dishes with lots of preparation. After realizing the transformative satisfaction of a Chef's Knife, it just felt wrong to carve into a sad sheet of red plastic. This escalated into a multi-year journey that led us out of our corporate jobs and into artisan woodworking to craft something better for the kitchen.
When that knife met the first End Grain Cutting Board we made, the experience hooked us. The physical sensation is distinct, and we soon discovered the artistic potential of hardwood end grain; patterns, contrasts, colors that are otherwise unseen in wooden works. At Wooded, we are passionate about uncovering these hidden works of art from the forest, and bringing them together to tell a bigger story and complement the art of the dishes prepared on them.
To achieve this level of artistry and authenticity, we craft every one of our boards from scratch, working carefully through over 30 steps for End Grain cutting boards, starting from selecting just the right piece of rough lumber, until the last coat of wax. Beyond boards, our Jack Wax woodcare lineup is our in-house blend of waxes and oils, carefully poured in small batches to give your piece the protection, hydration and Stiff Shine it deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking time to learn more about our journey. And for those who have entrusted us with your business, we are so grateful. In any case, we hope you'll join us as the full story of Wooded unfolds.

We're based on Cape Cod, where the tradition of working with your hands runs deep — boatbuilders, fishermen, makers of all kinds. Every board we sell is built in our shop in Mashpee, from rough lumber to final wax coat — no overseas factories, no wood sweating in a cargo container for months. We control the whole process, so you get a board that stays flat.
